Turibio At Caveja

I am very pleased of my new Greyhound and I am very grateful to Daniele Verlicchi who gave me Turi from his litter born on April 5, 2011.

The litter is out of my latest home-bred champion, Shakyra della Caveja, sired by Multi Ch. Showline Sporting Trophy at Sobers (Giacomo), a noted stud. Turi is the tenth generation bred or owned here.

Shakyra is a “complete” Greyhound, being FCI European Coursing Champion, Italian, Club and International Coursing Champion and Italian Show and Full Champion. She was many times best in field all sighthound breeds and also a group winner in show. Here she is pictured at seven years of age – just after having raised eleven puppies – together with Giacomo:

Turi when nine weeks old:

As a mature dog, Turi shows all his quality. In the meantime, he became San Marino, Montenegro and Italian Champion. When five years old, he got his lure coursing licence.

Thanking her owner, Saskia Terwel of Holland, I also had the chance to co-own Turibio’s sister, Tixi. She is a beautiful bitch improving every day and with a movement second to none. Here she is pictured at seven months of age. She too is GHN free and already won well and produced a promising litter. You can find more news, pictures and video about her on Saskia’s website: https://greytixi.wordpress.com/
